Erm, so we go to Juxtaposition; take 2. Last week we were asked to compare Juxtaposition of series, so this week is all about metaphors that can be related to us.

EX : Drinking milk will increase health.
Reason : Because milk is healthy, thus it will help one to become healthier.
Simile ;

Reason : Because the unlimited water cycle is as unlimited as the cycle of life. Both are never ending.

Juxtaposition - act 1 ; Week 7
Well, let's look at the definitions (yes, with an 's') of Juxtaposition.
So many definitions, but they all end up the same ; basically it's comparison between two words, and naturally, compare them and start to see the difference and similarities.
The series I would like to compare Juxtaposition is GetBackers ; a very classic yet still current anime/manga series.
Light / Dark - Midou Ban, the brunette with purple glasses wields dark-cursed powers such as 'SnakeBite' (can handle up to 200kg weight) which he chants in a series of curse with sentences involves "...This curse of mine..." or similar to that. While Amano Ginji, the blonde with green vest is a wielder of electricity with a personality to match it - one so bright that sparkles like Edward Cullen (sh--, taboo name) with a childish attitude that likes to 'manja' with Midou Ban. Yet, these 2 characters can come together and form a service called Recovery Service, which has a 100% chance of getting back items that are taken away.
Trapped / Freedom - Amano Ginji came from a unfinished tower called Limitless Fortress, which the villagers of this tower are trapped, cannot come out of this fortress ; forever stuck, and Midou Ban is from the outside world (Japan). These 2 met up after Amano Ginji escaped from that hell. Yet, Amano Ginji has more freedom to control his electricity power within the Limitless Fortress instead of the outside world. Trapped, yet free.
Betrayal / Friendship - Back when Amano Ginji belongs in the Limitless Fortress, his nickname was Lightning Emperor, alongside with his partners Threadmaster Kazuki, Beastmaster Shidou, Makubex, and Ginji's most trusted partner, Kurusu, who was actually the 'Judas' among the 4. Friendship and betrayal all wrapped into one.

Novelty, creativity, innovation, invention. ; Week 3
Erm... Well, let's define the words first, shall we?
Novelty ; freshness - the originality of virtue by being refreshingly novel
Creativity ; the ability to create
Innovation ; new stuff that is made useful / new way of doing something
Invention ; creation of something in the mind / a creation resulting from study and experimenting
As long as we remember these 4 words while doing something, it will always be new, fresh and creative once applied properly.

Define creativity ; Week 2
Well, hmm hmm hmm....
Creativity, eh? Well, in a nutshell according to research ;
In my opinion on "Does school kills creativity?" (The sentence, not the video), it really depends on how one thinks. Yes, we all know some parents can be very persistent in forcing their kids to study and doing anything else (drawing, singing, playing with an instrument, etc) is a "waste of time" and "should not be bothered with" as "it does not promise good future/salary".
In a way, these thinkings are killing kids' creativity and freedom to express. Let's think back ; if it wasn't for creativity, we wouldn't have the computer, the internet, a table to work on, a chair to rest on, a bed to lay on ; and most importantly, we wouldn't have - the lightbulb.
Though, I have to agree and disagree with Angie's opinion on "I can say that most people, if not everyone, are very creative when they are young. The matter is whether a person grow out of exercising their creativity", because I think EVERYONE was once creative, no matter who they are, all children alike. Heck, I think even the most unproductive/lazy person can think up of the wildest/whackiest idea ever. Like say, who knows a lazy person can think of something like "i wish i can make a device that can clone myself and do all the work so I can be lazy for life"? As for the matter on whether one wants to continue their creativity, I agree. Because once one decides to give up being creative and go the "normal" life, that's when their creativity decreases.

Well, here's my image :
This is a picture of Khai Wen. Why black and white? Because Wen is a simple (black and white - simple colours) guy, with a simple life. :D Wearing his favourite shirt, being GAR! What is GAR? GAR is a term used in an anime series, that later turned into a trend, and now it means "being manly". As you can see, I drew Wen in a very cute-ish and simple style while he's trying to be manly, because he's not at the manly stage, YET.
Good luck being manly in the near future, Wen!
